Foundation Stage learning centres upon active play and building individual interests. The outdoor play areas designed and built by The Little Village Group help children within the foundation stage learn about the World, develop physically with co-ordination, control and movement, and encourages them to play creatively. The play areas create spaces for learning that children can access independently.

Foundation Stage play areas that we have created have included castles, cars and playshops that encourage imaginative role play and the use of all their senses. We have also installed music chimes, chalk boards and innovative tables incorporating sand or water play. These enabling environments promote active learning. The seating areas encourage children to be sociable and play collaboratively, and promote problem solving and reasoning. We accessorise the play areas with imaginative touches to amuse and entertain young minds.
